Miele Australia implements ActionHRM Enterprise
"No one needed training on ActionHRM because the user interface is so easy to navigate and use."
Miele, a German manufacturer of high-quality domestic appliances and machines for commercial applications, was founded over 108 years ago and remains a family-owned, family-run company. Widely recognized for manufacturing the highest-quality domestic appliances and commercial equipment, Miele has operations in every continent .
By 2007, Miele Australia – one of the company’s global subsidiaries – had scaled to $270MM in annual revenue and over 300 employees. But it continued to rely on manual, paper-based processes and small-business software to manage HR and payroll. “We’d reached a point where our HR and payroll departments were understaffed and overworked,” states Lyn Krivohlavy, Payroll Manager at MieleAustralia. “For example, leave requests were handled using paper forms that were pushed through multiple approvals – and were often misplaced or sat on desks. We calculated payroll changes for leave requests by hand and had to remember when to manually enter these calculations into the relevant pay run. It was a very inefficient process that typically took 1-2 weeks to complete and consumed far too many HR resources.”
